Scope:
The clause of CSA Standard C22.2 No. 1335.1 is applicable except as
follows:
Addition:
This standard deals with the safety of portable cord-connected
electric appliances having a cooking
function such as baking, roasting and grilling, intended for household
purposes, their rated
voltage being not more than 250 V.
Examples of appliances which are within the scope of this standard are
(a) toasters
(b) toaster oven/broilers;
(c) portable ovens;
(d) roasters;
(e) rotary grills;
(f) rotisseries;
(g) radiant grills;
(h) outdoor electric barbecues/grills
(3) This standard does not apply to
(a) hotplates.
